How to Buy Life Insurance

Life’s big changes — getting married, having kids, even going off to school— give us lots to think about. The good news is that when it comes to buying life insurance that’s right for your stage of life, your ERIE Agent can make a seemingly complicated process easier. The first step is helping you think about it.“People don’t think twice about insuring their home and their car, but it’s amazing that so many don’t think about their life in the same way,” says Jeff Azzato of St. Marys Insurance Agency in St. Marys, Pa. “The bottom line is this: if you love someone, you need life insurance.”

 New rules for teen drivers effective Dec. 24

 Gov. Tom Corbett signed the bill, which mandates the following for junior drivers (age 16 1/2 to 18):

·Limit on the number of passengers under age 18: no more than one (except for immediate family members) for the first six months; no more than three after the first six months

·Increase in behind-the-wheel training: 65 hours (up from 50), 10 of which must be at night and five of which must be during inclement weather

The measure also will make failure of drivers and underage passengers to wear a seatbelt a primary offense, which carries steeper penalties
